South Shropshire

The cottage is in an area designated as being of "outstanding natural beauty".

Shropshire's rolling hills and forest tracks have been enjoyed by ramblers and walkers for many years. There is a great diversity of wild life to be seen with many places of interest to be visited. For example, Ludlow Castle, Ironbridge - with its nine working museums, Powis Castle and Gardens, Much Wenlock Priory, Stokesay Castle and many other Shropshire country towns and villages.

The attractive market town of Knighton (about 2 miles from Weston) has a full range of facilities including interesting shops, a post office, a choice of tea rooms, a supermarket and a train service. Three miles in the opposite direction is Bucknell, a charming village well worth a visit. There are many interesting local walks along Offa's Dyke and over Caer Caradoc (an iron age fortified hilltop).
